A little chilly at 4 a.m.

This morning my dadda saw how cold I was that he put his sweater on me. My momma laughed so hard when she woke up that she snapped a picture of me. I really don't know what was so funny....I was cold and my dadda was nice enough to make me warm.

"Ok Bis...off the couch...it's time for you to go out," my momma says. Are you kidding? Why does she think I want to go out when the temps are practically freezing at 6am. Besides, I just warmed up. Then, for some strange reason, my momma takes my new sweater off. Why? Something about me peeing on it if she left it on. I swear I would never do that!!

It's heeeeerrrrrrrreeeeeeee........

It's finally here! My momma stalled my dadda for a long time, but she ran out of good excuses to prolong it's existence in our house. It all began when my uncle Ron brought it over for Thanksgiving for us all to play. Well, maybe not me, just my dadda and my uncle Chris and of course my uncle Ron. They practically played the whole day. First, this game where they shoot bad guys, then, this game where they became rockstars. Yeah, I've gotta admit that one was pretty neat. My uncle Chris became a rockstar by the end of the night.
What am I talking about? It is the xbox 360!!!

Well, as long as my dadda doesn't forget to take me and my sista out, I guess I'm OK with it. Hey, maybe we'll make it a thing the family can play together? My momma was talking about this game she wanted where we can sing our favorite songs. Heck--maybe my dadda will get me a game where I can race alongside other dogs like Whippets? Yeah....that would be f-u-n!!

Now my dadda tells me that my uncle Ryan is getting one of these things, too. I hope my dadda and uncles don't get too caught up playing and forget to take us out hiking. We love hanging out together. (This picture was taken pre-Gino...gotta get a new one with him in it.)

Patience IS virture

I have what most people and dogs can only dream about. What's that, you ask? I pride myself in my abilities to be patient. Yep, patience is key to successful scores at my house.

For instance, today at breakfast I waited patiently for my sista, Lindsay to finish eating.
Sometimes she doesn't finish her food. Why? Completely beyond me because I lick my bowl clean each and every time.

FINALLY...she finished!! But, I didn't go diving in to see if she l
eft anything behind. Why not? Well, I think it would be kinda rude. Besides, my momma taught me better than that.

SCORE!!!! She le
ft kidney's (which I normally don't eat but today they tasted especially exotic.) and a couple berries behind! I knew if I waited patiently on the side lines I would be rewarded!!

Not even Lindsay could believe how spotless I left her bowl. She actually thought I put it through the dishwasher!! P-L-E-A-S-E!!! My tongue is the bowl washer.

Mee sista, Lindsay

I've gotta show my sista some love on my blog.

Baby Bison

Lemme introduce myself...

Hello, my name is Bison. A dog, you ask? Why yes, I'm a two and half year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. Not really into the dog show scene but that's ok because my parents aren't all that into it either. It's about time my momma let me publish my journal for the world to read. I'd much rather spend my time surfing the net or learning new things than rough house. But don't get me wrong, I do love a good romp around the park, hiking, play dates (my momma sets those up with dogs she thinks I would like to play with), and hanging out with my family. So be on the look out for pictures of me and my sis checking out new places. She's always trailing us with a camera....I like the documentation of our lives and all but it's kinda annoying sometimes.

Speaking of family, lemme start by introducing my parents. My mom says this picture is O.G., whatever that means! My daddy is on the left, his name is "Bobby" but my momma calls him "Bobba". My momma is on the right, her name is "Letitia" but my daddy always calls her "Letis". I think it's funny that they have exclusive names for each other.

This is my sister Lindsay. She's a deaf Jack Russell Terrier who is full of what my momma calls personality. I'm not sure if personality quite covers my sis, I think the word I'm looking for is annoying! Hahaha! Yeah...that's it! Most of the time I let her believe she's in charge because it just makes my life easier. Now I can vent about her on my blog.

Now lets get to the cats...

Linus and Bella are treated like royalty at my house. I don't understand why?? They are allowed to sleep on mom and dad's bed anytime they wish. They practically live on the couches! And the worst double standard of them all....they are actually allowed to jump on the counters!!! OMG....if I ever did that...I would get into major trouble. Oh yeah, Bella is the white cat on the left and Linus is the orange tabby on the right.

Welcome to A day in the life of Bison.
