Every two months my parents put on a big production. No, not a show tune! That would certainly be a sight to see though! They prepare meals for Lindsay and me. Why, you ask? Well, first of all I'd like to think of myself as special. Special in the sense that they go out of their way to give us the very best nutritious foods. My momma says it's two sided, while we get to eat healthy and yummy food now, they benefit by having microscopic poop's and less vet visits (thank dog!) as we get older. So, we all win! In case you don't already know, we are on a diet of raw meat and bones. We kicked that bag of kibble to the curb May of 2007 and never looked back.
Sunday was one of those production days. It took my parents a whopping 2 hours to prepare our meals for the next two months. Not bad, eh?
First, they got everything set up. Cutting block my dadda's boss gave him and some plastic tubs to hold the meat already cut up.
Then, my momma separates plastic containers for Lindsay and me. Each container will hold boneless meat for two days. Each of us gets our very own table...told ya we were special!
Inside a clean sink, my dadda opens all packages for one species at a time. In this case, he had packages of pork butt (ymmmm..).
He gets right to it and starts cutting meat into chunks--like stew meat.
Nothing goes to waste because my dadda takes all the meat off the bones. My momma says these bones are too hard for us to eat. Sometimes she saves them as recreational bones to give us something to do.
My momma puts all the cut up meats into the containers. She's gotten pretty good at eyeballing the amounts we need. I of course, had to make sure she wasn't jipping me out of my servings of pork. Ok...everything looks good so far....
All filled up and ready to be sealed.
Hallelujah...it's done!
All packed up in the freezer, ready to grab for mealtime. Thank you momma and dadda...I love my raw meaty bones!

Nice job, inspirational!
Hah! I know it does look like lots of work but we only have to do it 6 times a year:) Thank goodness for Bobby's skill, cuts our time in half!
